literary spam [10 Nov 2006|11:38am]
i get a lot of junk sent to my emmanuel e-mail account. yesterday, while sifting through it all, one subject line caught my attention: "mouse brown, nimble headed."

what? nothing about enlarging my penis?

i had to open it.

what i found was a confusing paragraph which i wall paste below.

no advertisements. no nothing. just text.

text from pride and prejudice.

i have gotten at least seven of these e-mails since yesterday. no attachments, seemingly no motive other than spreading the good (and horribly mangled) word of jane austen.

dear brian littlefield,

when i had you for drawing I i hated you. if yours had been the first art class i had ever taken, i am fairly positive you would have crushed my little artistic soul and i would have dropped art forever. i happen to know of quite a few people who you actually did that to. and it's not that you were overly mean or anything. you just had no idea what you were doing.

thankfully, i was secure enough in my artistic abilities to keep going and was rewarded with steve locke for drawing II.

three years later, we met again in printmaking. at first you seemed pretty good, i had heard you were tolerable in that class and i was actually starting to believe it. i believe i even referred to us as bffs at one point.

know this, little b: you are no longer my bff.

YOU ARE IMPOSSIBLE. I DO NOT DESERVE A B-/C+ AS MY MIDSEMESTER GRADE.

a quote from my grade sheet:

"draw & print so that burrs 'look beautiful'"

wtf.

we're over.
